Private Equity Associate

Brock & Decker is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Associate to join their rapidly growing team in Barcelona. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities across various sectors, performing market research, financial analysis, and valuation modeling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence processes, including financial, legal, and operational assessments, working closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the formulation of investment strategies and theses, leveraging deep industry insights and financial acumen.
  • Support portfolio companies in achieving their strategic objectives, including operational improvements, growth initiatives, and exit planning.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment decisions and portfolio monitoring.
  • Prepare and present investment memos and recommendations to the Investment Committee, articulating the merits and risks of potential deals.
Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language considered as a plus.
