Wind and Site Optimization Specialist

Job Summary
Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Wind and Site Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our wind energy team, you will be responsible for developing and improving our wind tool, providing support during the tendering phase, and conducting wind analysis to ensure the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand site-specific wind and climate conditions to optimize wind energy production.
- Conduct risks analysis to identify the best option considering project constraints, such as hub height, rotor diameter, and wind speed limits.
- Align with the engineering department to define the right parameters for wind tool development.
- Calculate the wind impact on site during project execution and compare with the results obtained with the wind tool.
- Implement and support corporate processes and tools, and develop locally required processes/tools with different regions.
- Report achievements, risks, and challenges on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering or Meteorology, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with wind tools.
- Competence in wind flow modeling and using relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP, or other comparable software.
- Experience with CFD codes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position/job.
- Experience in crane and transport in wind energy.
- Crane operations planning.
- High English level; German is a plus.
- Communication skills.
- Proactivity and assertiveness.
- Ability to work with multicultural teams.
