We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Fuel Trader to join our team at Imperium Commodity Search. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a global trading strategy for marine fuels, managing relationships with military and naval clients, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Trading Strategy Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive trading strategy for marine fuels, including bunker fuels, MGO, and MFO, to meet the specific requirements of various NATO and naval forces across the world.
- Client Relationship Management
Manage day-to-day relationships with military and naval clients, identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships to ensure timely execution of trades.
- Contract Negotiation and Management
Conclude and negotiate supply contracts with global ports, managing pricing, risk management, and logistics from end-to-end to ensure smooth execution of delivery.
- Communication and Collaboration
Establish and maintain effective communication with naval and military operators to ensure all requirements are met for their fleet, collaborating with operations and finance departments as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and standards of compliance, utilizing the company's in-house tools to ensure smooth execution of delivery.
Requirements- Experience
Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a trading house or physical supplier of marine fuels, bunker fuels, MGO, and MFO within the military/naval or defense sector globally.
- Industry Knowledge
Key knowledge of bunker operation regulations within various geographies, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the US.
- Account Management
Experience in key account management, particularly in the military or naval sector, is beneficial.
- Language Skills
Fluent in English and Spanish, with European languages being a plus.
