About the Role

Celonis SE is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist and Marketing Analytics Specialist to join our Marketing Analytics and Insight team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze and interpret large and complex marketing datasets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Analyze marketing datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to optimize marketing strategies. Develop and implement predictive models to forecast marketing performance and customer behavior.
  • Customer Segmentation: Use clustering, classification, and other advanced techniques to segment customers based on their behavior, preferences, and demographics. Develop targeted marketing strategies for each segment to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Marketing Attribution: Develop and refine multi-touch attribution models to measure the impact of different marketing channels and campaigns on customer acquisition and retention. Provide insights on the most effective marketing mix.
  • A/B Testing: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, offers, and strategies. Provide recommendations based on test outcomes.
  • Machine Learning Applications: Apply machine learning algorithms to solve marketing problems such as churn prediction, customer lifetime value (CLV) estimation, and personalized marketing. Continuously improve models based on new data and feedback.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing teams to understand their goals and challenges. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and drive business growth.
  • Data Visualization: Present findings and insights in a clear and compelling manner through data visualizations, reports, and presentations. Communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on marketing analytics or a related field. Experience in a B2C or B2B marketing environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their applications in marketing (e.g., regression, decision trees, clustering, neural networks).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present insights.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and big data technologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business-friendly language.
