Job Overview

As a Merchant KYC Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring seamless onboarding experiences for our valued customers. You'll work closely with our FinCrime, Compliance, and Operations teams to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence while providing an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough investigations to ensure comprehensive capture of client documentation and facilitate timely onboarding for merchant customers.
  • Profile Analysis: Analyze and assess profiles to verify identities, identify potential red flags, and escalate cases to the FinCrime team for further review.
  • Customer Support: Provide assistance to customers primarily via email, ensuring a smooth onboarding and verification process.
  • Periodical Reviews: Conduct regular reviews on existing customers to maintain up-to-date records and compliance.
  • Screening: Utilize screening databases to identify potential risks, including PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) databases and adverse media sources.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously challenge existing tools, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fintech or financial services company.
  • Legal Framework Knowledge: Good understanding of relevant AML/KYC legal frameworks.
  • AML/AFC Qualification: Qualification from ACAMS, ICA, or a similar industry body is considered a plus.
  • Language Proficiency: Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of French and Italian being a strong plus.
