We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Consultant to join our Policy, Regulation and Strategy team at Mercados-Aries International in Madrid.
As a key team member, you will be directly involved in the development of projects as a Team Leader and/or project manager, as well as coaching senior staff within the field of energy business, economics, policy, and regulation.
Some of the key services you will provide:
- Draft methodologies for international tenders and collaborate with other specialists to source client projects.
- Take full responsibility for international projects.
- Manage contact with clients and present project findings.
- Lead and participate in financial and economic projects within the company.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for experienced economists or engineers with post-degree studies in economics, business, or finance.
The ideal candidate must have:
- At least 15 years of experience in similar topics.
- A deep understanding of the power and gas sector, including issues such as tariffs, institutional aspects, primary/secondary and detailed regulations and procedures, contracts, financial and economic analyses, and quantitative assessment applied to the sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in similar consulting business, including leading consultancy teams.
- Excellent English and Russian skills.
- Effective communication, proactiveness, and willingness for changes.
- Strong experience as a user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- International experience.
- Availability to travel frequently during short periods.
- French or Arabic skills are a plus.
