We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our team at Compass Lexecon. As a Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex economic data to provide expert advice to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret significant amounts of client data to deeply understand how competition works in various industries.
- Market Research: Research how firms compete with each other and identify the most important variables that affect their decision-making processes.
- Industry Analysis: Identify and summarize all relevant facts to understand a client's industry.
- Quality Control: Take responsibility for quality control and ensure accuracy and error-free work product.
- Report Writing: Draft reports interpreting and summarizing analysis.
- Education: Undergraduate degree in economics, ideally with a focus on microeconomics, industrial organization, and/or econometrics. We also consider graduates with degrees in other quantitative subjects such as computer science, mathematics, and statistics.
- Skills: Highly analytical, excellent organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Stata and Excel is desirable.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Portuguese is desirable.
