Technical Operations Engineer for Aircraft

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous oversight of Aircraft Technical Status around the clock.
  • Provide expert technical support to flight crews, offering immediate guidance on MEL dispatch and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Oversee maintenance assistance for remote locations.
  • Monitor AOG situations and manage recovery efforts, including fault isolation and parts requisition.
  • Ensure timely management and resolution of Deferred Defects, directly influencing fleet operational performance.
  • Update and communicate the Fleet Technical Status and Operational Limitations.
  • Conduct condition monitoring of the Airbus Fleet using AIRMAN (Aircraft Maintenance Analysis) to recommend necessary corrective actions for compliance issues.
  • Perform traceability, analysis, and troubleshooting of intermittent faults across the fleet.
  • Follow up on technical delays and report during daily operations.
  • Supervise scheduled maintenance to ensure compliance with Volotea standards by Line Maintenance contractors.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the maintenance department, Operations Control Center (OCC), and flight crews on a daily basis, supporting operations to minimize schedule disruptions.
  • Provide onsite support at Line Stations.
  • Assist with non-routine maintenance tasks, such as engine replacements.

Qualifications Required:

  • EASA Part 66 Licensed Aircraft Engineer with certification on Airbus A32X series (CFM56 engine type).
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience; troubleshooting experience is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in Maintenance Control, Technical Representation, Airline Engineering, or Line Maintenance.
  • Strong technical expertise in aircraft systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to all stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential; knowledge of Italian and French is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proactive and cooperative mindset.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating 24/7 shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Experience with AMOS and AIMS is advantageous.
  • Current EASA Regulation (Part M, Part 145), EWIS, and Fuel Tank Safety certifications are preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
