Position Summary

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of production processes, ensuring that deliverables from various departments align with our creative vision. Your leadership will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative environment where creativity thrives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor Production Coordinators, Production Assistants, and departmental teams.
  • Collaborate with production management to maintain and update the master production schedule.
  • Coordinate with department supervisors to ensure efficient setup and operation of teams.
  • Work closely with technical supervisors to address and resolve challenges related to production deadlines.
  • Monitor production schedules and budgets, communicating any changes that may impact project flow.
  • Strategize with department heads to meet weekly quotas and resolve productivity issues.
  • Create and maintain productivity reports for departments and individual artists.
  • Assign tasks and set deadlines in collaboration with department heads.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the crew to foster communication and morale.
  • Facilitate director approvals and ensure alignment with creative objectives.
  • Manage inventory flow within departments to maintain efficiency.
  • Set clear expectations during meetings and approvals, prioritizing actionable feedback.
  • Regularly assess departmental progress and develop strategies to enhance productivity.
  • Support Coordinators and PAs in prioritizing their daily tasks through weekly meetings.
  • Guide the professional development of Production Coordinators and PAs.
  • Oversee crew scheduling and vacation approvals.
  • Provide support and guidance to department heads in collaboration with production management.
  • Lead the team by offering support and instruction that contributes to their artistic and professional growth, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Stay informed on current technology trends that enhance our creative and technical environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the VFX or animation industries.
  • At least 3 years in feature production departments or significant experience on two projects.
  • Preferred experience working with remote teams across multiple films.
  • Proficient in software such as ShotGun, Microsoft Excel, Word, and production tracking databases.
  • Strong understanding of film production pipelines and methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.
