Key Responsibilities- Enhance Vulnerability Management Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive vulnerability management strategy to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities in our systems and applications.
- Lead Vulnerability Management Efforts: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive awareness and adoption of vulnerability management best practices, educate security teams on security best practices, and integrate vulnerability management into our overall security strategy.
- Drive Actionable Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to provide visibility into risks, vulnerabilities, and issues, and serve as an escalation path for team member effectiveness.
- Provide Expertise and Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert on vulnerability management and secure configuration, and provide guidance to technical teams on vulnerability management and secure configuration.
- Develop Enterprise Policy and Technical Standards: Develop and maintain enterprise policy and technical standards related to vulnerability management and secure configuration.
- Identify and Assess Vulnerabilities: Identify and assess the potential impact of vulnerabilities specific to our environment, and determine and implement mitigating controls.
- Manage and Remediate Vulnerabilities: Identify and lead the appropriate measures to manage and remediate vulnerabilities and reduce potential impacts on information resources to a level acceptable to senior management.
- Build Strong Partnerships: Build strong partnerships with technical teams to promote best practices for managing vulnerabilities in an agile manner and within cloud solutions.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Provide mentorship, coaching, performance management, and support to team members with regard to vulnerability assessment, communication with other divisions and various levels of leadership, technical expertise, and career development.
- Oversight of Onboard and Offboard Resources: Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of resources.
- Experience in Vulnerability Management: Experience in vulnerability management or a related field such as penetration testing, SOC, or threat intelligence.
- Drive to Learn: Drive to learn new things about vulnerability management, exploits, hacker techniques, and overall security operations.
- Familiarity with Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standard security best practices and vulnerability management processes, including compliance reporting.
- Cross-Functional Team Experience: Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional teams, including offsite, remote, and offshore resources.
- Prioritization and Risk-Based Decision Making: Excel at prioritizing work and other demands for self and team, including making risk-based decisions about remediation recommendations.
- Communication and Leadership: Ability to define, communicate, and execute on a vision and strategy, and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical resources.
- Self-Directed and Adaptable: Self-directed, works with minimal guidance, and recognizes when guidance is needed.
- Staying Abreast of Emerging Technologies: Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of securing evolving technology such as cloud and mobile computing.
- Experience in Large Enterprise Environment: Experience working in a very large enterprise environment with diverse teams.
- Advanced Experience with Vulnerability Scanning Tools: Advanced experience with vulnerability scanning tools and other security testing tools.
- Understanding of Attacker Mindset: Understanding of attacker mindset, exploitation, and how vulnerabilities are leveraged.
