Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Contracts Manager to join our team at Amazon Studios in Madrid. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our rapidly growing businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Document and manage various television development and production agreements, including short-form individual services agreements.
- Manage paperwork and legal processes, advising creative, finance, and other internal stakeholders on contractual terms.
- Manage projects through the right management system and conduct periodic audits to ensure contractual and guild compliance.
- Assist with legal operations and process improvements and conduct client trainings.
- Liaise with production companies engaged by Amazon Studios to walk them through our production guidelines and legal processes, as well as monitor their compliance with them.
- Monitor the status of options over IP rights.
- Coordinate with external counsel to ensure the delivery to production companies of Amazon Studios' production templates.
- Ensure the execution of key production agreements.
- Coordinate with external counsel the review of rough cuts and escalate internally legal and content-related issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in a legal department.
- Experience working with third-party contractual relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous in-house legal experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage many simultaneous workstreams, clients, and projects under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment even in ambiguous situations.
