We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Vehicle Damage Assessor. As a key member of our assessment team, you will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair, and timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess damaged vehicles to determine the extent of the damage and costs of repair
  • Prepare and record electronic and manual estimates, including identifying the correct prescribed repair method
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair the vehicle at the estimated costs
  • Effectively communicate with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology
  • Stay up-to-date with all repair methodologies and manufacturers' literature and bulletins
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues in the bodyshop and across functional areas to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA qualification in a related field
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
