What You Can Expect
In our Product Team, Business Intelligence, Finance & Procurement, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex software and application components in the Business Intelligence environment of BASF Group. Your responsibilities will include developing and consulting on BI applications tailored to the needs of our business units, finding technical solutions for complex requirements, and ensuring smooth service operation of applications.
Responsibilities
Your focus will be on the following areas:
- Consulting on technical questions in the context of business applications for reporting, creating specifications based on technical requirements for projects and change requests in collaboration with other consultants and business units.
- Developing software independently, as well as managing developments in cooperation with internal colleagues or external service providers.
- Regularly running maintenance tasks, quality assurance measures, and test activities, and supporting the development of support concepts.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT, or computer science with a focus on business administration.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT-related topics.
- Business intelligence basic skills by education or practical experience of at least 1 year.
- Excellent analytical skills, service orientation, and communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Nice to Have
In addition to the technical skills, you will have a strong interest in understanding the business background and creating sustainable BI applications together with internal business partners. Experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP Analytics Cloud would be an additional benefit.
