Amazon is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead the development of its intermodal rail network. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between Amazon's fulfillment and transportation hubs.
About the RoleThis is a critical position that will play a key role in supporting Amazon's growing retail and logistics footprint. The successful candidate will have a strong background in programme management, with experience in defining programme requirements, using data and metrics to determine improvements, and owning programme strategy and end-to-end delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in the organization
- Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish
- Oversee complex, cross-functional programmes with internal and external stakeholders
- Owning Amazon Rail's North Star and its development cycles
- Engaging with Rail partners to drive Amazon's sustainability goals
- Leveraging large data and performance metrics to drive business results
- Leading business reviews with Amazon leadership and senior-level Rail executives
- Partnering with finance, legal, and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide Rail and land-side partners through new launches and other special projects
Amazon's rail operations play a critical role in supporting the company's growing retail and logistics footprint. The team is responsible for planning and executing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between Amazon's fulfillment and transportation hubs.
Requirements- A degree
- Experience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience owning programme strategy and end-to-end delivery
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience in programme or project management
- Experience delivering cross-functional projects
- Advanced degree
- Proficiency in SQL
- Relevant experience in Rail
- Experience managing teams
