AECOM is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team of experienced professionals in the Hydraulics and Drainage department. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of various projects, including drainage, potable and wastewater networks, and flood modeling.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, collaborating with a diverse and multicultural team. You will be responsible for preparing finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D, as well as working in engineering project collaboration software platforms.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is proficient in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, personal resilience, and the ability to work under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain CAD standards and best practices.
- Prepare and finalize design drawings, including 2D and 3D models.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
- Perform quality assurance checks on drawings and designs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in CAD technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and under limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in drafting technology or a related field.
