Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team at SABIC. As a key member of our Global Security and Crisis Management Center of Excellence, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of our security strategy and programs across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, strategies, and standards in coordination with the Leader of the Security COE.
  • Stay up-to-date with security industry standards, incoming security-related correspondence, and national and international events to assess their security-related trends and implications on SABIC business operations and staff.
  • Assist regional and site leaders and SMEs in performing security risk assessments based on applicable standards and regulations to determine appropriate levels of protection and security measures.
  • Direct site security and advise site leaders in implementing security policies, regulations, standards, and systems.
  • Support and endorse regional security initiatives and projects.
  • Provide expert advice, clarifications, and interpretations of relevant SHEMS, standards, policies, and programs to ensure consistent and effective implementation.
  • Liaise with business leaders within the assigned geography/region to ensure alignment on security risks and mitigation programs.
  • Provide expert input to assurance activities at the global, regional, and local level as needed, including site-specific reviews and audits.
  • Track security program effectiveness and compliance statistics and develop actionable reports and KPIs.
  • Perform security audits and conduct operating reviews of critical security infrastructure and control systems to determine if manufacturing facilities have implemented all applicable SABIC security standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an internationally accredited university.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Preference given to industry certifications such as ASIS CPP/PSP, CBCI, etc.
  • 5 years of regional corporate security and crisis management experience in a relevant chemical industry.
  • Business savvy.
