Inspired Education Group, a leading global premium schools group, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Cover Teacher to join our team at King's College School La Moraleja in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the school's mission to provide a transformative learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the school's EAL intervention scheme from Year 5 to 11, providing targeted support to students who require additional language assistance.
- Contribute to the planning, resources, and curriculum for the school's EAL program, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to language support.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Admissions to identify students eligible for the EAL intervention scheme, developing a tailored timetable to meet the needs of all students.
- Support the English department in delivering EAL resources, enabling differentiation and supporting the Secondary Head of English in the day-to-day running of the department.
- Cover planned and unexpected teacher absences in the school, as directed by the cover manager.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic education group.
- Understanding of high-quality teaching practices and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Recent evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Understanding of the use of assessment to inform planning and improve student performance.
- Ability to engage, enthuse, and motivate students.
- Organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage responsibilities as a classroom teacher.
- Data analysis skills, with the ability to link attainment data to strengths and weaknesses in curriculum, pedagogy, and teaching.
