Position Overview: We are seeking qualified individuals to take on the role of developing and maintaining training materials focused on Instrumentation and Control, adhering to the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodology, while aligning with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify training requirements.
- Evaluate the entry-level skills and knowledge of trainees.
- Perform detailed job and task analyses to inform training content.
- Establish appropriate training environments.
- Analyze tasks for knowledge and performance criteria.
- Identify necessary skills and knowledge for task execution.
- Select effective instructional methodologies.
- Conduct impact assessments of training programs.
- Create engaging learning activities and objectives.
- Design and develop classroom and laboratory lesson plans.
- Utilize and create training aids to enhance learning.
- Ensure the training program materials are accurately maintained in the database.
- Keep training records up to date.
- Regularly update training materials to reflect current practices.
- Integrate operating experience into training content.
- Safeguard examination materials appropriately.
- Administer and evaluate written examinations.
- Coordinate the production of student handouts for training sessions.
- Conduct peer reviews of training materials.
- Develop examinations and corresponding answer keys.
- Create on-the-job training and evaluation resources.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and database management.
- Ideally, 2 years of instructional experience related to Instrumentation and Control.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to various locations.
- Familiarity with training procedures, INPO documentation, NRC regulations, and Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) systems is advantageous.
- Preferred certifications include Instructional Learning Certification and Instrumentation and Control Technician with 3 years of nuclear experience.
- Ability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, and weekends as needed.
- Capability to obtain and maintain unescorted access at a Nuclear Power Plant.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, along with effective presentation and facilitation abilities.
