Position Overview

The Design and Architecture Lead is tasked with overseeing the conceptualization and execution of Ralph Lauren shop-in-shops across the EMEA Region. This role is pivotal in ensuring that each location embodies the brand's commitment to excellence and delivers a premium experience to our clientele.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Architecture and Design, the individual will manage all facets of project development from initial concept through to final implementation. This includes close collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, and suppliers to guarantee timely and budget-conscious project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop shop-in-shop designs that align with the latest creative direction of the brand, ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Store Development, Visual Merchandising, and Construction, as well as external partners including Millworkers and General Contractors to meet project specifications.
  • Create schematic design documents and development packages for new installations, renovations, and updates.
  • Effectively manage external consultants and suppliers to uphold Ralph Lauren's standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and authorize construction and millwork drawings to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Work closely with the Fixture Team to develop new and custom fixture designs, ensuring clarity on intended usage.
  • Prepare and distribute precise bid documents and templates for project procurement.
  • Maintain adherence to established standards in AutoCAD, drafting, project management, and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail design, commercial projects, or upscale residential work.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all stages of architectural projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), Microsoft Project, and SketchUp.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat X Pro, BIM360, and Smartsheet is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of millwork standards, details, and construction processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and organization.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
