At Check, we're revolutionizing the payroll industry with our innovative embedded payroll platform. We're seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to expand our platform and simplify creating, growing, and running a payroll business for our partners.

About the Role

We're looking for an engineer who wants to have an outsized business impact. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll scope, develop, and lead large technical projects with significant business impact. You'll build tools that support and automate complex payroll workflows for our partners and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Scope, develop, and lead large technical projects with significant business impact
  • Build tools that support and automate complex payroll workflows for our partners and internal teams
  • Influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing engineering team
  • Use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities to achieve our business goals
  • Provide input on product and strategic decision-making
Requirements
  • Strong product/user orientation
  • Focus on iterative value delivery
  • Experience leading projects that simplify complex concepts through software
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions independently
  • Interest in designing both frontend UIs and backend APIs
