Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within a small development team responsible for specific themes and initiatives. Your primary focus will be on writing, testing, and releasing new features and fixing problems in our products, while also innovating on new ideas and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software features and applications
  • Collaborate with the broader team to understand and deliver work that contributes to the team's goals
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to research projects exploring future opportunities and new technologies
  • Develop technical and interpersonal skills through self-training, collaboration, and mentoring
  • Help handle risk, change, and uncertainty, contributing to confident decision-making and improving ways of working

Requirements

  • Proficiency in coding in Java with a good understanding of object-oriented programming, programming concepts, and best practices
  • Experience implementing Java Spring microservices, using container technologies such as Docker, and relational database technologies like Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
  • Background in full software development life cycle from design to deployment via CI/CD tooling, using agile methodologies like Kanban or Scrum
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, with a strong preference for AWS
