About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team at Vitrolife Group. As a key member of our clinical bioinformatics team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting large-scale genomic data to support the development of new Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the daily clinical bioinformatics workflow, including DNA-seq and RNA-seq data analysis.
  • Analyze clinical data for the validation of new NGS tests, ensuring high-quality results and accurate interpretations.
  • Assist in the preparation of validation summaries for new NGS tests, providing clear and concise documentation.
  • Develop and maintain analysis pipelines for NGS tests, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical partners and clinical experts, to ensure seamless integration of bioinformatics expertise into our product development pipeline.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python programming languages, with experience in Linux and development of scripts.
  • Advanced knowledge of NGS data analysis, including Illumina sequencing data.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and direction across the organization.
  • High level of spoken and written English, with the ability to work in a global team environment.
