About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Governance Specialist to join our team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. in Spain. As a key member of our Tax team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and providing expert advice on tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor new tax regulatory developments and analyze their impact on our business in Spain, including the Basque and Navarre tax regimes.
- Review tax implications in Spain of cross-border transactions, including financing, services, and repatriation of funds.
- Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on potential investment/divestment transactions or internal reorganizations.
- Evaluate and assist in the potential application of tax incentives in Spain.
- Support tax controversy matters and contribute to best practices in tax governance processes in Spain.
Requirements
- University degree in Law, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Specific academic background or postgraduate studies in Tax.
- At least 5 years of experience in tax law firms, Big 4, or relevant in-house experience.
- High level of English. Other languages, such as German, are a plus.
- Good knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment and build networks with other teams and companies in the group.
- Problem-solving skills and a get-things-done attitude.
- Efficiency, flexibility, and proactiveness.
- Team worker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
