The Software and Security Group (SSG) at ADI collaborates closely with the Advanced Data-Converter Platform Group (ADG) to create and implement high-quality software and subsystem platform solutions. These solutions enable our customers and partners to utilize our cutting-edge semiconductor products in the development of systems and end-products for a wide range of applications. Notable examples include high-speed communication systems, software-defined radio systems, RADAR systems, and advanced testing equipment. Daily Responsibilities
In your role, you will design, implement, and enhance SQA Integration and Test platforms for highly integrated Radio ICs and SoC products using languages such as C, C#, and Python. Your daily tasks will involve collaboration with engineers from various hardware and software domains, including IC Design, Product Evaluation, Marketing, Applications, Firmware, Tools, and SQA. You will be responsible for creating and executing complex system tests to ensure that ADG delivers high-quality, rigorously tested software solutions that address our customers' intricate challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SQA processes, procedures, and pipelines.
- Design and execute complex system tests, selecting components and tools based on system specifications.
- Create and maintain Jenkins/GitHub continuous integration and automated testing scripts.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers throughout the SQA process.
- Deliver high-quality software adhering to coding standards with comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, working alongside Software leads, IC Engineering, and the broader System and Applications Group to engage with customers and ensure SQA processes align with their needs.
- Gain expertise in RF/high-speed converter systems and associated testing equipment, including power management and drivers/power amplifiers. Develop knowledge in algorithms, calibration, and system design frameworks, while becoming familiar with amplifiers, mixers, PLLs, filters, and phase shifters.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related discipline.
- Over 7 years of experience in embedded software development, including embedded frameworks and device drivers, with a proven track record of successful product delivery.
- Proficiency in software CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Git, Confluence, GitHub, and JAMA.
- Expertise in programming languages including C, C#, and Python.
- Experience with IC hardware and testing equipment such as PCBs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Strong software engineering skills encompassing design, programming (C, Python, or other scripting languages), and debugging.
- Hands-on experience in developing automated testing systems and Jenkins regression testing, along with familiarity with unit testing and code coverage tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical knowledge and experience with Radio Frequency (RF) ICs, high-speed converters, digital signal processing, algorithms, power management, data communications, and control theory.
- Exceptional debugging capabilities.
