About the Role

As a Java Technical Lead at Elca Information Technology Ltd., you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software developments for complex applications in the development or maintenance phase. You will set technical standards, provide guidance, and perform reviews to verify adherence to coding standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze legacy code to support the team in understanding difficult logic.
  • Work with architecture teams to understand designs and architecture directions.
  • Coach developers, help them implement software in line with designs and standards, and train them to become independent on technical aspects.
  • Solve complex technical issues independently.
  • Perform code reviews to validate code written by teammates and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of code quality.
  • Design the technical stack for development projects.
  • Research new or emerging technologies and frameworks, provide recommendations, build proofs of concept, and conduct trainings.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the Java technology and ecosystem.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, XML, and CSS.
  • Ability to understand designs documented in mainstream methodologies such as ADD, UML, and BPMN.
  • Literate in continuous integration and deployment technologies (Jenkins, Docker).
  • Knowledge of clean-code tools such as Sonar.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Java development, including 2 years as a tech lead.
  • Able to read and write technical documents in the English language.
  • Oral communication skills in English are not mandatory but are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and/or certifications on Amazon, Azure, and Oracle clouds.
  • Experience in IT Operations and live systems (in production).
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology (Scrum).
  • Knowledge of other programming languages.
