About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at WebBeds. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality documentation that meets the needs of our Supply partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define Organizational Standards: Develop and maintain documentation standards that align with industry best practices.
  2. Develop Comprehensive Documentation: Create detailed, user-friendly content that meets the needs of our target audience.
  3. Understand Products and Services: Gain a deep understanding of our products and services to translate complex information into simple, polished content.
  4. Write Engaging Content: Develop content that meets the needs of our users, turning insights into language that sets them up for success.
  5. Develop and Maintain Databases: Create and maintain detailed databases of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
  6. Research and Write Content: Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
  7. Build Relationships: Build relationships with users of our products and adapt the level of documentation to suit their needs.
  8. Collaborate with Development and Support: Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
  9. Develop Information Architecture Templates: Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migration.
  10. Develop Content in Alternative Media Forms: Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  2. Industry Experience: 3 years+ industry experience as an effective technical writer.
