Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Design Engineer to play a crucial role in the design and development of our solar-powered aircraft. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical aerospace design, systems integration, and component selection. Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing conceptual wiring systems and harnesses.
- Creating detailed wiring diagrams, harnesses, and electrical design installations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Supporting harness manufacturing, aircraft installation, and functional testing.
- Performing trade studies and cost analysis to optimize design solutions.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest aeronautical technology and regulations.
- Preparing technical documents and presentations to communicate design concepts and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design, including wiring diagrams, harnesses, and installations.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software programs.
- Familiarity with aerospace electrical design directives and standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in Catia V5 Electrical Module.
- Experience with harness manufacturing or installation processes.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, and complex systems integration.
Preferred Tools / Process Experience
- CATIA V5 EHI (Electrical Harness Installation).
- SEE-Electrical.
- Creo Schematic, VISIO, Draw IO or similar software.
- Jira/Confluence.
