About Our Company

We are a leading international company in the scientific industry, seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst Intern to join our team in Spain.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process all purchases and refunds in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to a 48-hour deadline.
  2. Analyze purchases by expense type, ensuring accurate coding of invoices.
  3. Obtain invoice authorization in accordance with our current authority matrix.
  4. Ensure the correct treatment of VAT on expense invoices.
  5. Set up and maintain supplier accounts using the correct business partner codes.
  6. Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  7. Address significant issues, such as final demand letters, promptly.
  8. Prepare payment runs, including BACs, CHAPS, and SEPA.
  9. Send out remittance advices within 24 hours of payments being raised.
  10. Process credit card statements within the due period.
  11. Create spreadsheets using Excel.
  12. Maintain the Purchase Order System for direct deliveries, ensuring daily processing.
  13. Allocate DD Payments accurately on Supplier Accounts.
  14. Reconcile all Purchase Ledger Accounts to Supplier Statements within the period.
  15. Chase Credit Balances through phone calls and written letters.
  16. Handle European Intercompany balances/Netting payments.
  17. Process cash onto Accounts Receivable ledgers from customers within 24 hours of receiving it into the bank.
  18. Take responsibility for all outputs.
  19. Maintain documents related to Sarbanes Oxley requirements and ensure proper control procedures are in place for all legislative and regulatory requirements.

Your Profile:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance or accounting.
  2. You are looking for a 4-6 months internship.
  3. Strong relationship and communication skills.
  4. Excellent team player.
  5. Native Spanish and English language skills are highly valued.
