Trade Assistant

Bunge, a leading agribusiness and food company, is seeking a highly skilled Trade Assistant to join our team in Galicia, Spain.

As a Trade Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales department by standardizing plant requirements, negotiating freight costs, and centralizing call-offs and complaints.

• Standardize Plant Requirements: Develop and maintain a database of customer logistics requirements for our three plants in Barcelona, Cartagena, and Bilbao.
• Negotiate Freight Costs: Collaborate with the Sales Manager to secure competitive freight offers for our customer portfolio.
• Centralize Call-offs and Complaints: Manage and resolve customer complaints and call-offs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Forecast Monthly Needs: Analyze refinery utilization and sales program forecasts to predict monthly needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Manage Customer Pricing and Contracts: Execute contracts, monitor backlogs, and manage customer pricing to ensure optimal financial performance.
• Monitor Receivables: Track and manage receivables to maintain a healthy working capital and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

• 5 Years of Experience: Proven experience in a trade or logistics role, with a strong understanding of supply chain management.
• University Degree: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• Decision-Making and Negotiation: Excellent decision-making and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence others.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English, with additional languages (French and Catalan) a plus.
• Customer Focus and Teamwork: Strong customer focus, teamwork, entrepreneurship, results orientation, independence, and ability to make decisions.
