About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutical Area Head to lead our Medical Affairs team in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for our Therapeutic Areas. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing medical strategies that address the needs of our patients, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Strategy Development: Develop and implement high-quality medical strategies for our Therapeutic Areas, in collaboration with global and regional teams.
- Medical Affairs Planning: Design and implement innovative medical affairs plans that address medical needs, including evidence generation, real-world evidence, health economics and outcomes research, digital technologies, and scientific communication.
- Team Leadership: Lead the Medical team in the area, working in close collaboration with other key areas, such as Commercial and Access.
- Capacity Development: Provide a capacity development plan for field medical associates, in collaboration with the MSL Head, including disease area and product-specific content to train medical associates in the region or country.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the design and execution of all medical activities in accordance with applicable company policies and external legislation.
Requirements
- Scientific Background: MD or PhD/PharmD in Health Sciences or Life Sciences.
- Leadership Experience: Proven solid experience in direct leadership & people management.
- Medical Affairs Experience: Profound working experiences in Medical Affairs and/or Development.
- Industry Experience: At least 6 years of experience in the pharma industry.
- Strategic Thinking: Experience in strategic positions and deep understanding of the field roles.
- Data Generation: Experience in data generation.
Desirable Requirements
- International Experience: International or global experience or experience in another country.
- Cross-Functional Experience: Cross-functional work experiences.
- Therapeutic Area Expertise: TA expertise in onco-haematology areas.
Languages
- Local Language: Fluent written and spoken.
- English: Fluent written and spoken.
