About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Experience and Interaction Design Lead to join our in-house Creative and Design Studio at Zurich Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of designers in creating user-centered designs for digital products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of UX and UI designers to ensure high-quality and performance standards are met.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging creativity and innovation.
  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals and user needs.
  • Deliver across the UX/UI process, from information architecture to final High Fidelity prototypes.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate design into the development process.
  • Guide the team in conducting user research to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Lead usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback.
  • Implement internal capabilities to ensure all design teams follow common UX/UI best practices.
  • Collaborate with Business Units and engineering teams to review requirements and ensure designs are implemented as specified.
  • Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.
  • Encourage the adoption of new tools and techniques to enhance the design process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to build internal design capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in UX and interaction design.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Full proficiency in English and Spanish. German and other languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Empathy for users and passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
