Software Development Engineer

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Network Product Development (NPD) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating innovative and secure software solutions for our networking systems.
About the RoleWe are looking for a talented software engineer with a passion for innovation, data, quality, analytics, and distributed systems. You will work closely with our internal partners to ensure that our solutions meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Solve challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, at every layer of the stack.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate innovative and secure software solutions in the field of networking systems.
- Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
- Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.
Within AWS Networking, the NPD organization is responsible for designing the hardware, building the software, and owning the interconnects for the networking devices that power the global AWS network. We actively manage the fleet of switches and routers in a network that keeps growing.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Prolific coding skills in C, Java, or Python.
- Ability to drive the technical strategy for the team.
