Job Title

Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Amadeus. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive our business decisions. You will work with various data sources, employ SQL, Power BI & Qlik to perform data analysis, and leverage Business Intelligence tools to create insightful reports and visualisations.

About the Role

  • Gathering raw data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external systems,
  • Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and reliability,
  • Familiar with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik, to create meaningful reports and dashboards,
  • Comfortable with writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from databases,
  • Manipulating SQL to perform in-depth structured and unstructured data analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate actionable insights,
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations to support their goals,
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by the business to address specific questions or concerns,
  • Implementing data quality checks and processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency,
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and BI tools.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience,
  • Professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics domain with excellent SQL and data modelling skills for complex querying, advanced analysis, performance optimization, and working with data at scale,
  • Fluent in English since the team is fully international,
  • Experience in the software development lifecycle (including product design, coding, testing, version & configuration management, security, and Quality Assurance) relevant to the functional area,
  • Experience delivering end-to-end analytics projects, taking them from vague requirements to an impactful story, accessible across diverse audiences, and ultimately to a clear business outcome,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail,
  • Ability to work with large and complex datasets,
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex data findings,
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment,
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data modelling is a plus,
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a bonus.
