About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at 1&1 IONOS SE. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our internal infrastructure and customer data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement proactive and reactive measures to protect our internal infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Drive the implementation of security monitoring systems (SIEM) and ensure their maintenance, updates, and monitoring.
  • Work on global platform defenses, writing web application firewall rules, testing them, and supporting in resolving false positives.
  • Advise internal customers on the selection of suitable protective measures, support their implementation, and ensure they are measurable.
  • Support Arsys Security in their daily tasks, including detecting, triaging, analyzing, and resolving security incidents.

Requirements:

  • Deep experience in the field of cyber security.
  • Hands-on knowledge of security analysis, including detection, analysis, evaluation, mitigation, and prevention.
  • Experience with relevant tools, such as Splunk, and the ability to instruct others on their use.
  • Experience in analyzing vulnerabilities in common web applications, such as WordPress and its plugins.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, to automate processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good English skills, quality awareness, personal responsibility, and the ability to work in a team.
