We're seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team at King. As a key member of our Data Foundations team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data platform, including our Airflow-based orchestration platform and data catalog.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and operate components of our data platform, including our Airflow framework and data notification system.
- Take ownership of projects and drive technical and platform improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and coherent growth of our collective data capabilities.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and champion data literacy and engineering best practices.
- Expertise in Python, including application frameworks, pytest, TDD, API design, and pydantic.
- In-depth knowledge of Airflow components, architecture, and best practices in DAG development.
- Proven experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Familiarity with BigQuery or similar cloud DWH platforms.
- SQL and data modeling expertise.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and BI tools like Looker/PowerBI.
- Knowledge of GCP-based services like cloud run, datastore, dataflow, cloud functions, and pub/sub.
