Senior Communications Specialist, EMEA

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Communications Specialist to manage our PR activities in EMEA. This role will encompass public relations and support our social media and analyst relations activity in EMEA.

The Senior Communications Specialist will be part of the broader team and collaborate across our Corporate Communications teams such as Foundation, Events, and Sports Marketing.

This role will report under the VP of Communication, Events, and Foundation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a marketing and executive communications plan, including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.
  2. Coordinate all public relations activities for EMEA, including managing media inquiries and interview requests, creating content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations.
  3. Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results quarterly.
  4. Contribute to media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online.
  5. Direct social media teams to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
  6. Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry leaders.
  7. Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.
  8. Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make recommendations regarding communication strategy.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years' experience in a communications role, with an agency or B2B tech brand.
  2. Solid understanding of the cybersecurity industry, with security PR experience a strong plus.
  3. Experience managing a PR agency relationship and company social media.
  4. Experience working in a fast-paced, hyper-growth, global company.
  5. Strong background in media relationships, including press release writing, project management, and coordination of media activities.
  6. Media relations database.
  7. Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently, building strong working relationships across departments.
  8. Self-motivation with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Strong internal customer focus with a desire to learn all aspects of the business.
  10. Strong knowledge of English and German language is a must.
