Job Summary

Importante Empresa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Government Affairs Specialist to lead our government relations and public policy efforts in Spain. This is a critical role that will require strong relationships with key government officials, trade organizations, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and counsel company executives on public policy and governmental matters, including pending legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and implement the company's government relations and public policy strategy in Spain, in partnership with company executives and the regional business unit head.
  • Participate in trade organizations and industry groups to influence legislation and regulations that affect the industry and advance the company's interests.
  • Develop relationships with key government officials, including Members of Parliament and staff, to promote the company's interests.
  • Assist in government business transactions with Ministries of Health, Finance, and other relevant government agencies.
  • Develop thought leadership and influence commercial strategies.
  • Develop education programs and symposia to improve adoption of best clinical practices, in partnership with universities, government agencies, and key opinion leaders.
  • Lead and balance external and internal resources, including consultants and trade associations.

Requirements

  • Experience in public policy making processes and developing partnerships with trade associations and industry partners.
  • Ability to analyze key regulatory and policy issues and focus on those that advance the company's competitive business interests.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with internal business stakeholders and external partners.
  • Record of achievement and accomplishment in government relations and public policy.
