Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled C++ Realtime Engineer to join our team at SIX. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for:

  • Incident management and operations, including 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Programming of low latency market data applications and APIs in a SAFe and Kanban way of working
  • Improving test coverage
  • Testing and checking data for compliance and quality
  • Installing and testing software on QA and PROD systems
  • Participating in on-call support rotation (out of office hours and weekend) in the DevOps team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience with C++ 14/17/20, with a strong background in design, profiling, performance tuning, STL, boost, template, and metaprogramming
  • Experience in API programming (C++, Java, and C# is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of various IPC mechanisms
  • Linux fundamentals knowledge, shell scripting, Git/GitLab
  • Knowledge of Python and Ansible is a plus
  • Foundation in algorithms and data structures
  • Financial market data and low latency/high throughput systems knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
