Director, Head of Marketing, Unannounced Title - Blizzard Entertainment
BACKGROUND:
Blizzard Entertainment, a leader in the entertainment industry for over 30 years, seeks a candidate to lead the release and growth of an innovative new title that will redefine its genre and captivate players globally. With millions of passionate fans worldwide, the company aims to expand its social reach, engagement, and conversation.
YOUR MISSION:
As the Director, Head of Marketing for the unannounced title, you will be responsible for strategy and execution across all marketing functions – from announce to launch and rapid growth. This role will have a thought leadership position inside the organization, playing a key part in building the new game's brand.
You will lead and drive critical functions that will enable the game to acquire, engage, and delight players worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will have deep consumer marketing experience at an agency or on the client side in the gaming, entertainment, or tech industries.
They have demonstrated strategic and creative prowess, as well as business acumen.This position requires an expert in marketing who is a proactive self-starter constantly looking to push the envelope with innovative and clever ideas to grow and delight global player communities.
They will have familiarity with all aspects of games marketing – brand marketing, product marketing, user acquisition, growth and engagement marketing, partnerships, PR, creative, and beyond.Requirements:
- Deep consumer marketing experience in gaming, entertainment, or tech industries
- Strategic and creative prowess, as well as business acumen
- Expertise in marketing with a focus on innovation and growth
- Familiarity with all aspects of games marketing
