We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Static Equipment Engineer to join our Asset Engineering team at Sabic Americas, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring static asset performance, predicting equipment failures, and proactively addressing them through effective equipment strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations and failure analysis to identify root causes and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Perform technical studies and coordinate with the Inspection department and Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure optimal static equipment performance.
- Develop and implement static equipment integrity strategies, including RBI and RCM methodologies.
- Support project and turnaround scope development, review, and execution for all static equipment.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for potential corrosion and materials issues.
- Implement best practices, technical alerts, and SABIC manufacturing standards for static equipment.
- Collaborate with the Inspection department to develop PM strategies for static equipment.
- Contribute to long-term asset planning and multi-year asset replacement investment plans.
- Develop and lead CDP preparation as a team member.
- Participate in or utilize virtual domain support on special topics related to static equipment.
- Contribute technical expertise in team workshops, such as RCA, RCM, PHA, and MOC Committee.
- Stay up-to-date with legal requirements related to static equipment.
- Facilitate asset integrity meetings with the Inspection department and plant operation teams.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, and/or engineering in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and/or energy production industry.
- Strong knowledge of integrity analysis tools and methodologies for static equipment.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, especially on advanced technology, corrosion, and metallurgy.
- Knowledge of welding, materials, corrosion, and damage mechanisms in petrochemical industries.
- Risk-based analytical mindset and experience in facilitation and chairing of multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to realize company targets.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work together in a team and across multiple departments.
