Radiation Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at LCMC Health. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in administering radiation therapy to patients, working closely with radiation oncologists to ensure accurate treatment plans.

• Administer radiation therapy to patients, monitoring their condition regularly to identify any abnormalities.
• Assist radiation oncologists in localizing tumors and performing simulations and treatments as ordered.
• Perform simple dose calculations and record treatments on patient charts.
• Verify equipment and supplies, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Complete safety inspections and notify appropriate personnel of any issues.

• 1 year of experience with Radiation Therapy equipment, including Varian, GE, and TOMO.
• Radiation Therapy Certification.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider certification.
• Radiography Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• Licensure as a Radiology Technician from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.
