Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the IT procurement commodity and will play a key role in driving the growth of the commodity through process implementation, spend analysis, and KPI follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Commodity Roadmap: Help define the commodity roadmap in line with the company's strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Collect and Advise on Corporate Requirements: Collect and advise on cross-functional corporate/business requirements to ensure that procurement needs are met.
- Manage Procurement Team: Manage a team of procurement officers to deploy the procurement strategy and ensure effective implementation.
- Negotiate Commercial Contracts: Conduct, develop, negotiate, and close commercial contracts to ensure best value for the company.
- Participate in Group Projects: Participate in group projects and critical negotiations to drive business growth and improve procurement processes.
- Implement Process Improvements: Implement process improvements to drive the growth of the commodity through spend analysis and KPI follow-up.
- Link with Stakeholders: Be the main link between the procurement department and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Fluent in English: Fluency in English is required, and any other language is a plus.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record of RFP management for IT categories is essential.
- MS Office/Automation Knowledge: Good MS Office/automation knowledge is required.
- Indirect Procurement Experience: Experience in the indirect procurement field is mandatory.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Great communication and negotiation skills are essential.
- Proactive and Autonomous: A proactive person, ready to work in a fast-growing environment, with the ability to influence people and work autonomously.
- Procurement Experience: 1-3 years in procurement with ideally a strong background in IT commodity.
- Generative AI Knowledge: Mastery of Generative AI such as ChatGPT or is a plus for improving day-to-day activity.
