About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Datacenter Engineering team at Microsoft. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and governance for our operational datacenter fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise to support site operations teams
  • Develop mitigation plans to system-level issues
  • Train site operations teams on new facility designs and sequence of operations
  • Develop and govern electrical system EOPs
  • Provide technical guidance on facility operations and support best practices analysis and recommendations
Requirements
  • Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer
  • College/university/professional degree in Electrical Engineering or related work experience
  • Strong experience with operation and maintenance of building electrical systems
  • Solid understanding of critical datacenter or equivalent high-tech critical environments equipment
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation
  • Practical experience with automation and control systems
  • Established understanding of electrical theory and practical application of critical electrical equipment
  • Fundamental understanding of the International Electrical Code
  • Demonstrated ability to write, speak, and present information effectively and persuasively
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead proactively
