Job Summary

The Supply Chain Strategist has a first responsibility to protect quality, customer service, and revenue in line with our CREDO through ensuring a smooth inbound flow of material and inventory allocation decisions. He/She will be responsible for supporting the local demand planning / IBP process ensuring overall alignment with the Regional and Franchise S&OP Process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver & Monitor End-Customer Service Commitment (OTIF/BO)
  • Support IBP meeting aligning communications between Commercial and Supply Chain partners ensuring connectivity with Business Planning process
  • Align on an accurate consensus forecast with commercial, developing demand scenarios
  • Understand market trends and identify forecast strategies to improve forecast accuracy
  • Manage inventory levels in local distribution centers by reviewing frequently Demand Plan, Safety Stocks, Lead Times and any other relevant system parameters, propose improvements of the planning processes and parameters, and understand the impact of the required changes
  • Facilitate tender talk and coordinate new product introductions / EOL incl. scenario planning
  • Work with field inventory supporting inventory optimization strategies
  • Participate to STEM and ensure flawless process for allocation providing Available-to-Promise data to our customers considering projected product supply plans
  • Liaise with distribution centers and marketing to manage backorders and allocation of products against outstanding customer orders during periods of short supply
  • Execute the CAPEX plan and support optimization initiatives that prevent unnecessary cost
  • Manage ad-hoc request from the customer such as material enhancement, returns, reparations and new sets or consignments needs/updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in Business, Logistics or Engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel & MS PowerPoint as well as reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Experience and proficiency of ERP (JDE or SAP) and/or planning tools
  • Strong analytical, systems and numeracy skills with capability to master complexity
  • Ability to challenge operational team and to ensure execution
  • Team player who keeps calm under challenging situations and with ability to multitask
  • Strong customer focus (internal & external); Fast learner, embrace change and complexity
  • Excellent social, influencing and communication skills
  • English is a plus / very much desirable for the role
