About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. - B76. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will be responsible for delivering design-related processes and mechanisms to launch new Automated Transportation Systems (ATS) Sortation Centers across EU & UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ATS design standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across EU and UK.
- Conduct design reviews across 5 stages of each project's lifecycle, including due diligence and test fits layout approval.
- Provide technical expertise on design topics to the preconstruction/construction team through office hours.
- Lead strategic value engineering concepts to improve ATS building design.
- Drive continuous design and change process improvements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in project management, real estate development, architecture, or design.
- Master's degree in architecture or engineering is preferred.
- Experience operating within at least two disciplines in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated capability in planning, design review, and implementation of new structures and enhancement of existing facility buildings.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Preferred Qualifications
- Participation in a previous new FC/ATS Design Review at Amazon in any role.
- Proficiency in German, French, Polish, Arabic, or Turkish.
