About the Opportunity
Mobile World Capital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology development of our company. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our deep-tech project, E.T.PACK-F, which aims to develop a Deorbit Device using electrodynamic tether technology.
About the Project
The E.T.PACK-F project is a beneficiary of the EIC Tech to Market Venture Building Programme, and its goal is to enhance Europe's capabilities in space debris deorbiting, in-orbit servicing, spacecraft re-boost, and planetary exploration. This project has the potential to disrupt existing markets and create new opportunities.
About the Role and the Project's Current Challenges
As the CTO, you will be responsible for bringing technical expertise, strategic thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive innovation, accelerate technology development, and contribute to the overall success of the initiative. During the first four months, you will participate in the EIC Venture Building Programme as an Entrepreneur in Residence, consolidating the technology strategy and validating the relationship with the current founders.
Main Project Challenges for the Coming Months
Some of the key challenges you will face include:
- Constructing industrialization roadmaps for the three main products of Persei Space based on electrodynamic tether technology.
- Leading the ongoing technical research & development project in Persei Space.
- Co-creating a strategy with the team for scaling up the company.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a candidate with a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent. A PhD will be valued. You should have expertise in space mechanisms, space avionics, space system engineering, VC funding, and space product development. Experience in the space industry is also essential. Advanced English (C1) is required.

We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and a hands-on approach.
What We Offer
We offer the opportunity to be eligible as CTO of Persei Space with relevant equity after the residency (first four months' remuneration provided by the programme).
