About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Manager to join our Blockchain team at The Workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving insight into the performance of our crypto platform and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Develop, coach, and motivate a team of analysts, both individually and collectively.
  • Day-to-Day Management: Day-to-day line management of a small team of Analysts, including reviews, setting objectives, and overall responsibility for quality of output.
  • Process Development: Define best practices for the team to prioritize and distribute tasks to ensure timelines for projects are set and adhered to and business users have correct visibility.
  • Analytics Processes: Establish analytics processes to support the team in their analysis of business requests, ensuring clear development of conclusions and recommendations.
  • Business Value: Understand the business value of any analytics piece and actively share with relevant stakeholders.
  • Team Direction: Proactively drive the direction of the team, identifying opportunities that the team can bring business value and putting action plans in place.
  • Strategic Decisions: Be aware of key strategic decisions that impact the team.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity by working with cross-functional teams internally and externally while implementing and adhering to quality control processes and data management best practices.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Collaborate with seniors to improve reporting, analytics, and overall data quality.
  • Business Needs: Work with senior business leaders and understand their needs and build out both regular business reports to track KPIs or OKRs as well as guiding insights for yourself and members of your team.
  • Analytics Development: Assist in the continued development of analytics by defining requirements from various business units, helping to implement changes to our organization's data structure through collaboration with the product and engineering teams.
Requirements
  • Business and Technology Background: Business and technology hybrid profile, with priority given to business background and acumen.
  • Leadership Experience: Experienced in leading, organizing, and developing a team.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to forward plan and think strategically.
  • Analytics Expertise: Advanced knowledge of analytics and/or Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies, and experience using major analytics tools – SQL, Tableau, and Python.
  • Business Performance Reporting: Experienced in business performance reporting/analysis and proven ability to deliver technical concepts to a non-technical audience in an engaging way.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build positive, productive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
  • Executive-Level Analysis: Ability to create and present executive-level analysis and reports.
  • Education: Degree in Business Technology, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
