The Institute For Bioengineering Of Catalonia (IBEC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group. The successful candidate will work on the development of self-propelled nanobots for translational approaches within biomedicine.
Key Responsibilities- Design, synthesis, and characterization of inorganic and organic nanocarriers for drug delivery systems.
- Optimize nanoparticle drug loading processes to develop active smart drug delivery systems.
- Contribute to the development of new combinations of nanoparticles and therapeutic agents for biomedical applications.
- Evaluate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of action of drug-loaded nanobots in various biological environments.
- Guide and mentor bachelor, master, and PhD students.
- Support the Group Leader in funding acquisition and project development.
- Lead a sub-team focused on nanobots for nano-biomedicine.
- PhD in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, nanomedicine, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in nanoparticle synthesis and functionalization of biocompatible and biodegradable nanocarriers.
- Knowledge of common characterization techniques, including NMR, FTIR, DLS, Z-potential, GPC, HPLC chromatography, SEM, TEM, AFM, and spectroscopy equipment.
- High level of English proficiency.
- Excellent publication record in nanomaterials, nanoparticles, nanomedicine, and related fields.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
