Role Overview: As a Senior IIoT Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in crafting and executing comprehensive solutions that leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance industrial operations. Your proficiency in IIoT technologies, cybersecurity, and industrial systems will be instrumental in driving innovation and operational efficiency across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Development: Create robust IIoT architectures that seamlessly integrate with existing industrial systems. Develop network solutions that guarantee secure data transfer between IoT devices and central servers.
- Implementation and Quality Assurance: Oversee the deployment of IoT devices and systems in industrial environments. Guide the selection of appropriate technology components and facilitate make/build/partner decisions. Conduct testing and refinement of systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership: Partner with IT and operational teams to formulate a cohesive strategy for IoT deployment. Lead cross-functional teams in executing technology integration initiatives.
- Ongoing Support and Troubleshooting: Provide continuous support for deployed IoT solutions, including regular updates and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Cybersecurity: Ensure all IoT solutions adhere to industry-standard cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive data and operational technology.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in IoT technologies and industrial applications. Propose innovative solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for all designed and implemented IoT systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an IoT Architect, Systems Architect, or in a comparable role. Hands-on development experience is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, actuators, edge gateways, and communication protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IoT frameworks/platforms.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications in IoT, network security, or cloud computing.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in industrial contexts.
- Understanding of data generation in industrial environments via DCS/SCADA/PLC systems and sensors.
