About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Product Owner (Technical) to join our MPN Platform Team at Vodafone Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and driving the platform roadmap, aligning with external teams and product management, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Platform Roadmap Definition: Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the platform's strategic direction, identifying key initiatives and priorities to drive business growth.
  2. Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the platform's backlog, ensuring alignment with product requirements, organizational objectives, and non-functional requirements.
  3. Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical background in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure to detect and anticipate platform needs, incorporating them into the backlog.
  4. Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with development teams, solution architects, and product management to ensure seamless communication and alignment on platform initiatives.
  5. Support Model and SLA: Collaborate with the team to define and implement a support model, SLA, and customer services that meet the needs of our customers.
  6. Team Development: Contribute to the hiring process and provide guidance to platform team members to ensure their growth and development.
Requirements
  1. Technical Background: Minimum 2 years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Product Owner, with a strong understanding of technical requirements and engineering teams.
  2. Business Acumen: Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements, working closely with stakeholders and product management.
  3. Decision-Making: Capacity to make key decisions and prioritize complex requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  4. Development Experience: Previous experience in development/design roles, with a strong understanding of platform, DevOps, Cloud, or infrastructure engineering.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds, including technical and business roles.
  6. Adaptability: Quick ability to learn and adapt to new technological requirements, with a proactive mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Nice to Have
  1. Cloud and DevOps Experience: Previous experience in Kubernetes, AWS, virtualization technologies, and automation.
  2. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  3. Release Management: Experience in release management processes.
  4. OSS Requirements: Familiarity with OSS requirements, including Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, AlertManager, or similar.
  5. Infrastructure Terminology: Familiarity with infrastructure terminology, including physical servers, networking, firewall, and switch.
